IDE-style AI coding tool from Codeium, built on a VS Code fork. Cascade mode is the reason to try it: it handles complex multi-file refactors with a workflow that sits between Cursor's familiar chat and Claude Code's deeper agentic loops. The UI is polished and the agent's planning step is more visible than in most editors. A reasonable middle ground if Cursor feels too lightweight and a pure terminal agent feels too far. I'd recommend it to someone who wants Cursor's comfort with more aggressive agent behavior.
